Coral Live 2018 - CARMABI Research Centre, Curaçao

Digital Explorer, a UK education agency that designs and runs STEM and global educational programmes which integrate virtual exchange, live expedition broadcasts and virtual reality.

Over the past four years we have worked with UNESCO ASPnet schools in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany on the UN programme My Voice-My School.

We are now looking to reach out to UNESCO ASPnet schools to take part in CORAL LIVE as part of the UN SDG14 ‘Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, sea and marine resources’.

Coral Live provides students with unique opportunities to connect and discuss science and geography with the Digital Explorer field education team and marine scientists. This year Coral live will be broadcast from the CARMABI Research Centre on the island of Curaçao in the Caribbean and will feature leading coral experts who will be engaging students around the world with the wonders of the coral reefs and the human impact on these fragile ecosystems.

Students aged 7-11 and 11-16 can join in with age-differentiated live investigations, interviews with experts and Ask-Me-Anything sessions. All the live sessions, supporting learning resources and media are offered free to schools.
