Collaboration with ASPnet for TAG and Global SEL Lesson

The UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) Rethinking Youth Team would greatly appreciate a collaboration with the Associated Schools Network to engage a critical mass of worldwide pre-service teachers in TTIs and young in-service teachers to participate in 2 MGIEP activities:

1. Talking Across Generations (TAG) on Reimagining Education

The Talking Across Generations (TAG) on Reimagining Education is reaching out to global youth (18 – 34 years old) for a month-long discussion on the very purpose of education (see video). We had over 200 comments for Question 1 (on Facebook and Instagram).

The 4 weeks of discussions culminate in a dynamic live dialogue at the end of August between 6 of the best youth selected the discussions and 3 seniors (1 Ambassador’s confirmed). The TAGe Report is then submitted to the Futures of Education and ISEEA.

2. A Global Lesson in Social-Emotional Learning

MGIEP has opened a worldwide enrolment drive for A Global Lesson in Social-Emotional Learning – a key 21st century skill for both teachers and their learners.

The Global Lesson is the 1st Skill from Compassionate Integrity Training on the UNESCO MGIEP FramerSpace platform developed by UNESCO MGIEP and the Life University Center for Compassion, Integrity and Secular Ethics. The Lesson will launch on 21 September the UN International Day of Peace – see video and Enroll Now for a special offer.
