The project continues its journey through Montenegro. Meanwhile, at Primary School "Mustafa Pećanin" in Rožaje, students crafted stunning artwork. As part of the UNESCO Wind of Peace project, numerous international Zoom meetings took place during the 2025/2026 school year, connecting students and teachers from different parts of the world and encouraging reflection on peace, cooperation, and intercultural understanding.

Romania joins the Wind of Peace international journey
Romania joined the Wind of Peace through the Deutsche Schule Hermann Oberth International School, a member of the Romanian ASPnet. Their students from the 7th grade prepared creative and heartfelt messages calling for peace, safety, and mutual respect in a world challenged by war, refugee crises, and climate change.

Canada added its voice to the Wind of Peace notebook
Just before the summer break, students and teachers from two UNESCO Associated Schools (ASPnet) in Québec, Canada shared their messages for peace in the Wind of Peace travelling notebook.

Six French UNESCO Associated Schools joined forces for the Wind of Peace
France was the third stage in the journey of notebooks 3 and 4, which departed from Slovenia with a stop in Italy. French students filled six pages before sending them onward to Spain and the United Kingdom.

Between 2 and 26 June 2025, two Wind of Peace notebooks journeyed through Austria, carrying the heartfelt thoughts, reflections, and artistic expressions of young people from different regions. From poetic messages to sincere calls for a change, Austrian students spoke.

To our great joy, individual schools from different countries have also decided to take part in the Wind of Peace project. Among those to send us a message was students attending supplementary Slovenian language classes at the Society of Slovenians Kredarica Novi Sad, Serbia.

Notebook handover in Piran, Slovenija
On June 2nd, a meaningful handover ceremony took place at the Herman Pečarič Gallery in Piran, where the pupils of the Primary School Cirila Kosmača Piran passed on two special notebooks filled with their thoughts, messages, and wishes for a peaceful world. The notebooks were received by Mrs. Anna Roversi from the Primary School Otona Župančiča in Gorizia.
